Kristin Cox graduated from San Diego State University, with distinction, earning a B.A. in Philosophy.  She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego.  During law school, Kristin clerked for the Alternate Public Defenders Office and the U.S. Attorneys Office, Criminal Division.

Professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi and the St. Thomas More Society.

Kristin is a member of the Conference of Delegates Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.

Prior to working for Hoover & Bechtel, Kristin worked at the San Mateo District Attorney's Office where she was a prosecutor in the misdemeanor unit.

Kristin volunteers her time at her local St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter and won the San Mateo County Society of St. Vincent de Paul's 2005 Young Adult award. She is also a member of the Commonwealth Club.

For fun, Kristin enjoys all aspects of the culinary arts.  Her hobbies include reading, crochet, knitting and riding horses.  She has traveled through Europe and Japan.
